Arrival of children, quiet "Sesame Street" time
which turns to free play as more children arrive.

Wash hands, Breakfast time in the dining room

Play dough, "Table Treasure Boxes," or coloring
time at the table while breakfast dishes are
being cleaned up. Discuss the weather and
calendar for the day.

Diaper changes for everyone.
Potty time for those training.

9:30am - 11:30am
|
Preschool activities in the school room and/or
some outdoor playtime on the deck. Preschool
time will consist of a monthly theme, and focus
on letters, numbers, shapes and colors each
month. We will also introduce some basic sign
language, basic Spanish, sing songs, play
games and read stories.

Lunchtime in dining room

12:30pm - 2:30 or 3pm

Nap time.
Quiet time with educational program up stairs for
those waking up from nap early. We try to keep the
house as quiet as possible until 3pm.

(Most day shift children depart
between 4pm and 5:30 pm)

This is a transitional time with day shift children
departing and evening shift children arriving. We
usually have outdoor playtime (weather
permitting) and/or more preschool activities.
Free play time in preschool room during winter
months or bad weather days.

Dinner is served, family style with the Alexander
family.
Webcams go off at 7pm.

After dinner - departure
|
Free play, outdoor play, tv time, fun time, snuggle
time, lazy time, bed time..... We do a combination
of many things. Evening daycare is not as
structured as the day shift and is more family
style. See below.
